Jamie retired from the Met in 2025. His logical and calming presence joined with his passion made his appointment as VP and subsequently President a unanimous decision.

Vice President - Gary Wildman aka "Baloo"

Gary, whose ride name goes by “Baloo,” also proudly displays his “Wildman” surname patch. By name and by nature, as some say!
Following a distinguished 38-year career with BTP CID, he became a valued chapter member, serving as Secretary for over five years. Always present and dependable, Gary has a way of capturing everyone’s attention and is held in high regard by nearly all.

Treasurer - Chris Mizzi aka "Choo Choo"

Chris served 11 years in Essex Police but since left. He has been treasurer for some years now but don’t be fooled, he’s not your average accountant. He is known by BK members everywhere because if he is not a work you’ll find him at BK rally somewhere in Europe.

Secretary - Andy Björck aka "Björck"

Andy started with Essex police in 1996 as a special constable and retired after completing 20 years service in 2016. He’s ridden and owned many different styles of bike, currently on BMW GS1250. Andy has loved riding with the Blue Knights since 2020

Ride Captain - Steve Nelson aka "Steve" (until he does something stupid!)

Steve has been a special with Essex Police since 2007, worked on traffic since 2014 and been advanced Police motorcyclist for over 5 years, making him a perfect candidate for Ride Captain

Ride Captain - Martin Allen aka "Martin" (until he does something stupid!)

Martin is retired from Essex, having been a Sergeant in the motorcycle unit – his experience makes him an excellent Road Captain!

Quartermaster - Billy Edmonds aka "Twitch"

Twitch is currently serving in the Met. He is a keen photographer and has taken on the QM job in his stride, if you want England 7 merch, Twitch is your man! 

Sgt at Arms - Ian Gathercole aka "Gathers"

After 27 years in policing (Essex and BTP), Gathers is enjoying a change of pace.
Having been riding for 41 years, he has recently moved on from a Vespa 50 to a Super Meteor 650.
Being a straight talker he seemed the perfect choice to take the Sergeant at Arms role.
He loves a laugh, doesn’t take life too seriously, but will not hesitate in pointing out what’s what!

Social Media Officer - Sam Bullock aka "Quick Release"

Sam spent 10 years with Essex Police as a Special, and joined Blue Knights in 2021. He is renowned for leaving his possessions on the side of A roads when his panniers aren’t closed properly.

Webmaster / Tech guru - Matt Jones aka "Tiny"

Matt is an Honorary member, introduced to the club by Winkle. He was born into a police family and has subsequently been adopted into the BK England 7 family with open arms as our Webmaster, dealing with the website, social media and all things IT.
